Lunch

Lunch is an integral part of your students’ day. We offer reasonably-priced, nutritious meals so they can be well fueled throughout the school day. To allow students to make healthy choices, we try to offer a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, and whole grains. We can only offer these meals with the help of parent volunteers. (Thanks!)

Students are not allowed to order food from off-campus or leave campus for lunch (except on special occasions with permission). Microwaves are available to students in grades 3 through 12. Preschool through 3rd grade students should pack lunches that do not need to be heated. Students will be required to wash their hands before and after lunch.

Meal prices (Main Meal or Soup/Salad Bar):

  • Preschool - Grade 2: $3.60

  • Grades 3-6: $4.20

  • Grades 7-12: $4.95

Paying for & Ordering Lunch

Student lunches are paid for using FACTS Prepay accounts. No cash is exchanged. Parents may load the students’ account with as much or as little money as they choose on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Keeping the FACTS lunch prepay account stocked with funds above $5 or exactly at $0, will prevent daily email notices about a low balance. 

To load money in your Prepay account: log into Family Portal > click "Financial" > click "Add Funds" under Prepay Accounts. Parents may review their FACTS Lunch Prepay account to know exactly how the money is being spent.

LCCS will not issue any IOUs. Please have money in your prepay account to purchase lunch. If a child does not have lunch, the student will be provided a lunch and your account will be charged.

Students must order lunch in the morning during first period. If a student arrives to school after 8:15 am, they must inform the receptionist if they plan to purchase lunch. If a student arrives to school after 9 am, they must pack a lunch. 

Volunteers

Our desire is to prepare meals in house and to serve well balanced meals that allow your students to make healthy choices. We can only do that with the help of parent volunteers! Volunteers are needed to help prep, set-up, serve, and clean up lunch. As a thank you, you and your children will receive free lunch on the day you volunteer. We would appreciate if you would consider serving at least one day a month. Sign up here to volunteer.
