Generational Generosity

"Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered." - Proverbs 11:25

You are invited to the third annual financial seminar at LCCS. This free event will inspire all generations, young and old, to recognize and appreciate the time, talents, and treasurers that God has provided and to share those with the organizations that best align with their heart. Saturday, March 12, 9 am-12 pm
Registration and continential breakfast begin at 8:30 am.

Breakout Sessions:
  • Teaching the Young to be Generous - Peter Greer, Hope International
“At a time when entitlement is on the rise, we need a movement of gratitude. Gratitude is the antidote to cynicism and leads to healthier families, teams, schools, and communities. Watch what happens when we unleash the positive potential of thankfulness.”
  • Maximizing Your Tax Dollars for Christian Education - Jason McDougall, Simon Lever Business Advisors
This session will explore the benefits of the Educational Tax Improvement Credit (EITC) program which allows businesses to direct state taxes to benefit an educational organization. We will explore the tax benefits of using a 529 plan for both college planning as well as tax savings for K-12 tuition.
  • Protecting Your Family for the Now and Then - Tim Shawaryn, Legacy Law

This session will explore key components of a good estate and charitable gift plan. The planning process stirs up many difficult questions, requiring intentional conversations. This session is designed to help you identify and start processing these questions and understanding the importance of implementing a plan that reflects biblical principles.

  • Intentional Stewardship for Maximum Impact - Lamar King, Bare Wealth Advisors
This session will explore the Psalm 24:1 reality that all we are and all we have is God’s. The use of our time, talents, and specifically treasure will lead participants on a journey to consider intentional strategies and attitudes when it comes to investing, tax paying, debt repayment, lifestyle, and giving.
