The existence of Lancaster County Christian School depends on two sources of revenue: tuition and philanthropy. While tuition covers roughly 80% of the operating expenses on an annual basis, philanthropy is necessary to cover the 20% gap in any given year.
The Lions Fund
The Lions Fund is the cornerstone of all fundraising efforts at LCCS and is necessary to sustain and enhance the LCCS mission by providing technology in the classroom, professional development for our faculty, scholarships for deserving students, and enhancements not covered by tuition.
Each school year, the PTF along with the LCCS board of trustees and LCCS development team organize a number of events and giving opportunities including:
- Education improvement tax credit (EITC) and Opportunity support tax credit (OSTC)
- ExtraGive in the fall
- Faculty Christmas Bonus in the winter
- Race for Education
- Golf tournament in the spring
- Grandparents and Special Friend’s Day in the spring
In addition to these event-based fundraising activities, LCCS makes appeals throughout each school year and accepts both restricted donations for specific items as well as unrestricted gifts.
All gifts to the Lion’s Fund are used within a given fiscal year to support the foundational activities, education, program enrichment, and scholarship needs of Lancaster County Christian School and are 100% tax deductible.
Who can give to the Lions Fund?
Philanthropic support of LCCS comes primarily through families with children enrolled at the school, board members, alumni, grandparents, community friends of the school, and local businesses and foundations.
How much should I give to the Lions Fund?
