Lancaster County Christian School promotes the exploration of students' God-crafted uniqueness and God-given passions through the Upper School Innovation Academies. The four academies focus on the areas of STEM, Leadership and Service, Entrepreneurship, and the Arts. Students are able to explore each of the four academies through a variety of elective courses and once a month Academy Focus Days. Each Academy also has its own event to provide students with an opportunity to showcase their accomplishments in a related field throughout the year.
Academy Focus Days are a unique opportunity for LCCS students to spend one full day every month exploring an Academy of their choosing through large-scale interactive projects or trips. In the past we have constructed trebuchets, painted murals, explored art museums, and converted a bus into a tiny house. 4-day students will participate by completing a rigorous independent project in lieu of the Academy Focus Day culminating in a formal presentation examining their learning process throughout the year.
